How does Laser Hair Removal work?
Laser Hair Removal is a faster, gentler way to remove unwanted hair, with great results. It applies precisely controlled pulses of energy (electrical and light, with cooling), reaching into the hair follicles that lie beneath the skin. The energy heats the hair, right down to the bottom of the root, destroying it without damaging surrounding tissue or skin.
Is it expensive?
Most people can justify the cost in just a couple of years of buying razors, shaving cream, waxing , etc.
How safe is hair removal?
As with any medical procedure there is some risk involved that is why at TROPICALASER we take all the precautions and have only highly trained laser techs that are directly supervised by our physitians perform the treatments. Most complains have to do with redness or irritation of the treated areas and in most cases is gone within a few days.
What about side effects?
The energies used (electrical and light) are both commonly used in a range of medical and cosmetic procedures that have proven to be safe. Most people experience no side effects at all, though few exhibit some short-term local reddening of the surrounding skin. You can return to your regular activities immediately after treatment, although it is advisable to keep the skin protected from exposure to direct sunlight for a short period of time.

Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser has shown to have permanent results on most patients but it is likely that if the patient goes through hormonal changes some time after their initial treatment of 6-8 sessions, some new growth may appear. It is recommended that if the patient goes through these hormonal changes and some new hair growth appears on the treated areas that the patient goes back for a "touch up" session to take care of the new growth.
